Our mission at UBUNTU is to raise money through the sale of donated items and re-purposed or art creations. The money raised will be used to help projects in the Pretty Prairie community and surrounding areas such as scholarships, parks and recreation, youth programs, senior citizens, Civic Theater, community museum, as well as indivduals with special circumstances.

 

We will be organizing fundraisers to help organizations or people with special needs. 

 

We are also currently raising money to purchase or build a permanent building in 2015. We have setup an account at the Citizens Bank in Pretty Prairie and would appreciate any donation that would help us keep Ubuntu in the community for years to come.

Where our money has gone to date:

* groceries for a family in need

* transportation for a woman to get to a appointment in Topeka

* co-payment to a medical appointment for a community member with no insurance

*fundraiser for a young father fighting stage 3 melanoma

*provided gas for the community to use chainsaws and generators during the big storm that devestated parts of our town on July 23
